It's been too long

So I haven't updated our blog since September; we've been a little busy the past few months. We welcomed a new member to our family, celebrated Thanksgiving, Christmas, Melainey's third birthday, a new year, and my 34th birthday.

Macie was born October 8, 2009 at 8:02 a.m., she weighed 9 lbs 1 oz and was 21 3/4 inches long. Her big sisters were so excited to meet her. Madison got a little emotional when she discovered she has brown hair like her. Ryan didn't get his boy, but I don't think he'd have it any other way. He loves his girls and boy do they love him. Melainey has him wrapped around her little finger; she often refers to herself as Melainey Fortenbury daddy's girl.

We had a wonderful Christmas season this year. Melainey is at that age where everything about Christmas is exciting to her. Her Christmas list was full of everything Dora and Tinkerbell, including a purple Tinkerbell umbrella. Madison's list was pretty simple this year. She asked for a Pei Wei gift card and various books.

The day after Christmas our daddy's girl turned three. We had planned on having a party for her and her friends at Pump It Up, but she decided she just wanted to spend time with family. I think she had three family parties and is already talking about her next birthday. I had to enforce the rule my parents had for me when I was growing up; no birthday talk until the month before your birthday.

Macie is our biggest baby by far and is growing like a weed. She is almost 15 weeks old and already weighs 15 1/2 pounds. She is so sweet natured and is loved by her big sisters. Melainey is the mothering type and is always trying to help (sometimes a little too much). Madison is a great big sister and is my little helper when Ryan is at work.

Our family has been extremely blessed; we have three beautiful and healthy girls, a wonderful home, a fantastic extended family, and great jobs that we are happy doing and help us provide for our family.

Well that's enough for now. I have a paper, a summary, and discussion questions all due tonight. Yikes, I've become a bit of a procrastinator the past few weeks. I just have to keeping reminding myself that June 2011 isn't too far away and the degree will be so worth it.

School's out for mommy

I just posted my final and I cannot tell you how excited I am to be done with school for a little while. I am so looking forward to this much needed break from homework. Not like I am going to have much of a break, but babies are so much more fun than homework.

Macie is scheduled to arrive on October 8th and we are all patiently awaiting her arrival. We still have a few things to do around the house, but for the most part we are ready.
I have two showers coming up this week. We are all looking forward to getting together with co-workers, Church family, family and friends to celebrate Macie's upcoming birth.
I go to the doctor this Wednesday and will post some stats afterwards

Mommy is nesting

We have a little less than 5 weeks before Macie arrives and mommy is nesting, so today is a mass cleaning day at the Fortenbury household. Madison and I will be cleaning out her closet, drawers and any other places she stashes things. Daddy and Melainey will be doing the same in her room. Then we will be tackling the master bedroom, scary. The clutter is overwhelming and starting to stress me out. Now if we could all just get motivated we might have a productive day.
